Blackjack Rules
House Rules:
Betting Limit: Posted at each table
Cards must be 4, 6, or 8 complete decks and dealt from a dealing shoe
Use hole-card-no-peek
Player Rules:
- Player is responsible for correctly computing the card count
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Hand signals must be used
- No touching of cards
- Two adjacent betting spaces maximum, including tip betting
- May not play on multiple tables (including paddlewheel)
- Original wagers must be an even amount not exceeding $25
- Tip betting is permitted. Tip bet cannot exceed amount of original wager and is limited to the two corresponding original wagers. Doubling-down on tip bet permitted, but cannot be doubled for less.
- No offensive language is allowed
- No side bets
- No credit
- A count of 21 obtained with 2 cards is termed as a natural 21 (blackjack) and is automatically paid at 3 to 2, except in the case of a tie or a split hand.
- Insurance permitted……pays 2 to 1
- Even money payoff allowed for a blackjack when the dealer is showing an ace.
- No payoff on tie counts
- Splitting allowed on any pair, or two 10-count value cards, to a maximum of 4 hands per betting space. Split wager must equal the original wager.
- Aces may be split up to four hands and receives one additional card each.
- Doubling down permitted on first two cards dealt, or first two cards of any split hand, except split aces, and may be equal or less than the original wager.
- Aces count as one or eleven
- King, Queen or Jack count as 10, all other cards count as face value
- Wagers may not be changed after the first card is exposed
- If a player used a fraudulent scheme or technique to cheat or skim involving 21, regardless of amount gained, the offense is a class C Felony punishable by a $5,000 fine, 5 years in jail, or both.

Blackjack Table Disputes and Resolutions
- A playing card found turned face upward in the dealing shoe must be burned.
- If no cards are dealt to a betting space containing a wager, the betting space is inactive for the round. If only one card is dealt to a betting space, at the player’s option, the dealer shall deal the second card to the player after all other players have received a second card. Otherwise, the betting space is inactive and the card must be burned.
- If the dealer deals cards to an inactive betting space and the dealer has continued dealing cards to active betting spaces, the dealer shall burn the cards dealt to the inactive betting space.
- If the dealer misses dealing the dealer’s first or second card, the dealer shall continue dealing the first two cards to each player, and deal the proper number of cards to the dealer.
- If the dealer does not ask the player to place an insurance wager and the hand is played, the hand is valid.
- If the dealer drops a card off of the table, the card must be burned.
- If the dealer draws a card from the dealer’s shoe in error, and the card is exposed or unexposed, the card must be dealt to the player or the dealer as though it were the next card dealt from the dealing shoe. Any player refusing to accept the card may not have additional cards.
- If the dealer has a count of at least 17 and draws a card, the card must be burned.
- If the dealer permits a player to wager an amount over $25 the dealer shall return the improper portion of the wager. However, if a dealer permits a player to wager $.50, and is dealt a card, the dealer will return the wager and burn the card (s).
- After a round of play, if the dealer or player suspects that the dealer miscounted the dealer’s or player’s hand, the manager shall play back the cards for the round of play to resolve the question or dispute. However, the manager may not back up the cards more than 1 round.
- If the dealer exposes both cards of the dealer’s hand, the dealer shall immediately turn one of the two cards face down, and continue to play that round.
- If a dealer inadvertently allows a player to wager on 3 betting spaces, the wager to the far right of the dealer must be returned and the cards burned.
- If a dealer misses dealing a player’s hit card, the dealer shall continue dealing any requested hit cards to all other players and then deal a hit card to the player who was missed.
- For any other dispute or question not mentioned, the shift manager’s decision is final.
Pig Wheel Rules
Betting Limit: $1 to $20 per spin
- Players are responsible for safeguarding their chips.
- A player may not bet chips that exceed a value of twenty dollars for one spin. Otherwise, the player shall forfeit the entire bet to the house.
- Player can place a bet after the operator announces, “bets open”.
- A player must bet by placing a betting chip on an appropriate betting space. Payout chips cannot be used to place a bet. The paddlewheel operator may assist in placing a bet, but the player is ultimately responsible for ensuring the bet was placed on the correct betting space. Bets placed on a wrong betting space and not corrected before the operator announces bets closed are valid.
- A player may not touch a betting chip after the wheel operator has announced, “bets closed”.
- Arms and hands must remain off of the betting surfaces and rail and cannot obstruct the camera’s view after the operator announces, “bets closed”, during the spin, and during payoffs.
- A paddlewheel must make at least four revolutions in either direction. If the paddlewheel does not make at least four revolutions, or a foreign object interferes with the natural spin of the paddlewheel, the spin is void, and the paddlewheel is immediately spun again.
- If a pointer stops on top of a peg, the number preceding the peg is the winning number.
- The winning “odd” or “even” bet is determined by the winning blue number. However, a player loses all “odd” or “even” bets if the pointer stops on a specially designated (silver tab) “house number”.
- A player may not take a betting chip away from the table.
- Player must be in the casino to win. Otherwise, the player shall not be paid and will forfeit the entire bet to the house.
- A person may not play on multiple tables at one time.
- If a player stops playing and has an unused betting chip, the player must exchange the betting chip for a payout chip through the wheel operator before leaving the table.
- No side bets allowed
- No tip bets allowed
- If a player uses a fraudulent scheme or technique to cheat or skim involving any game type, regardless of amount gained, the offense is a class C Felony and punishable for a $5,000, 5 years in jail, or both.
- Payout information is posted at the paddlewheel.
- Daily spin record is available for public viewing.
- For any other dispute not mentioned, the Shift Manager’s decision is final.
Jar and Pulltab Rules
- All personnel of the Plains Art Museum are prohibited from jar play.
- Family members and common household members of the jar operators and supervisors are prohibited from jar play.
- Cash only – no credit.
- No player may be allowed to purchase more than two-hundred fifty (250) tickets at one time, and may not purchase additional tickets until all previously purchased tickets have been opened.
- Freezing (restricting the play of a game to one player or group of players) is prohibited.
- The organization may, at its discretion, limit a player’s purchase of tickets to 20 (in addition to consolations) when two or more players are actively playing a game or the organization is closing the game.
- Players must inspect tickets for defects and correct quantity prior to leaving the jar bar. The organization suggests that the player does this while the jar operator is counting out the tickets in front of them. No tickets, defective or otherwise, will be exchanged after they have left the jar bar.
- To the best of our knowledge, we do not play jars without a major winner ($50 or higher).
- Signs posted on the jar list the number of major winners remaining in the jar and the range of possible winners; no other information may be given.
- A major winner is defined as a single ticket with a value of $50 or greater.
- Major winner postings are correct to the best of the organization’s knowledge – it is not guaranteed.
- Jar operator will hand the tickets to the player. Players cannot choose their own tickets. Players should not take tickets before entire purchase is counted out.
- Players must present entire winning ticket in order to receive payment.
- Winning tickets must be redeemed within 15-minutes from the time the ticket was purchased. Players who hold tickets will not be paid.
- By law, the organization may not pay a prize to a player unless the player redeems an actual winning ticket.
- Cash prize payout must be verified before leaving the jar bar. No payout changes will be made after leaving the jar bar.
- When a player wins a cash prize of more than two hundred dollars ($200) from the play of charitable gaming tickets, the organization, by law, must make a record of win. The payee must provide identification (which includes the payee’s full name, street address or rural route, post office number, city state, and zip code) in the form of a pictured driver’s license or other pictured identification.
- This organization shall deny the cash prize and notify the attorney general if any player attempts to falsify a record of win.
- A new deal will be added to the game if there are about two hundred and fifty (250) tickets remaining and the game is not being sold out. A new deal may be added at any time.
- When there are less than 5 unredeemed major winners remaining in a game, by rule the organization must discontinue posting the number of major winners remaining in the game.
- If a person solicits, provides, or receives any inside information, from or to any person, by any means, or uses a fraudulent scheme or technique to cheat or skim involving pull tabs, regardless of the amount gained, the offense is a class C felony, punishable by a five thousand dollar fine or five years in jail or both.
- The King Pin Casino gaming area is defined as the bar/casino only. Jar tickets cannot be removed from the bar/casino area or they will be void and will not be paid.
- Last cash sale will be called 15 minutes before the jar closes.
- Please refrain from opening jar tickets at the jar bar.
- Personal check writing may not exceed $50 unless approved by a shift manager. Valid picture ID is required.
- For any other dispute or question not mentioned, the Shift Manager’s decision is final.
